Wear your lifejacket when you are out on your boat!

This was the message we were given at our swimming lesson last week. The students were given an opportunity to learn how to step into the water off the side as well as fall backward off the edge of the pool. Trying to dive down into the water while wearing a lifejacket was impossible for most. 

First, we had to put the lifejackets on.

Here we are lining up in groups before we stepped into the pool. 

We made a donut by holding onto each other and pulling our legs up.

Open morning to share our learning

We had an open morning in week two during which we shared our learning with parents. It was exciting to see so many parents turning up and the classroom was buzzing with enthusiastic student voices sharing their learning.

Community Swimming Lessons

We are very lucky to have swimming lessons this term. Here we are enjoying the cool water while we are learning some new skills. It was another hot day and we definitely didn't mind being in the water.
